Community Engagement
We believe that sustainability extends beyond environmental concerns and includes the well-being of the communities in which we operate. We engage with local communities to:
– Support local Initiatives: Create jobs and support local businesses that contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
– Educational Initiatives: Offer educational programs that raise awareness about the importance of sustainable forestry and conservation.
– Community Projects: Invest in community projects that improve quality of life and promote environmental responsibility.
Through our corporate social responsibility engagement, we have constructed boreholes across communities where we operate in order to provide potable water to the population, which is key to life and good health.
– Training: In order to empower young people in the communities where we operate, we identify and offer free vocational training to the youth in fields such as carpentry, cabinet making, interior decoration, optimization of natural resources, green energy and modern construction. Within a short period of time, this has proven to be a key factor of financial autonomy for them.
